COACH TERRI ADAMS - Recruiting coordinator

Terri Adams is starting her second season as Head Coach of Eastern University Softball for 2020-21. After productive fall and winter, the Eagles saw their 2020 season cut short by the emergence of coronavirus. While the Eagles only played 10 games, the program made big steps forward and Adams is enthusiastic about the improvement of the players on her roster and her first full recruiting class at Eastern. She arrived at Eastern with successful experience in both collegiate and club coaching.

Adams was an accomplished pitcher at Kutztown. After stints as an assistant at her alma matter and at DeSales University (which was Allentown College at that point), Adams broke into the Division I ranks as an assistant at Temple University. The Owls won 30 games and the Atlantic 10 Championship in 2004.

She moved to Fordham University as an assistant. That squad won 37 games and reached the Atlantic 10 Championships in 2006.

After one year in the Bronx, Adams returned to Philadelphia to take over a Saint Joseph's program that won four Atlantic 10 contests the year before. In 2008, the Hawks won 11 league games and won a game in the Atlantic 10 Tournament. Her 2013 group won 37 games and went 17-5 in conference to earn the regular season title. She earned Coach of the Year honors. In her ten years at SJU, she won 248 games and appeared in eight conference tournaments. She had 15 players earn NFCA All-Region honors and 27 All-Atlantic 10 honors.

After working at Saint Joseph's, Adams joined the Cheetahs. Coach Adams is one of our lead organizational trainers, assistant coach of the 18u team and lead recruiting contact for the Cheetah players.

COACH TRISH CARROLL - 18U Head Coach

Tricia Carroll has coached at the collegiate level for 30 years. During her 21 years at the helm of the Rider University softball team, she led her team to three MAAC Conference Championships, two finals, and one semi-final. Her teams have included five Hall of Famers, including Cheetah’s own, Michelle Walsh.
Tricia was named the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Coach of the year for guiding a young (no seniors) team to its first berth in the MAAC Tournament and to the MAAC Championship. She was also named the Rider University Coach of the Year. Tricia ran winter softball clinics at Rider for children ages 8-18 for two decades.
She served as the Sports Commissioner for softball at the 2014 Special Olympic USA Games, which were the largest Special Olympics national games ever, with more than 3,500 athletes from every state. Tricia continues to volunteer for Special Olympics and is currently collaborating to create a new coaching guide that will help coaches to best encourage and empower athletes with intellectual disabilities. Her greatest joy is providing opportunities, through the power of sport, for all people to realize their potential, to develop physical fitness, to demonstrate courage, to experience friendship and acceptance of all.

Coach Meghan Johnson - PA Teams Manager

Meghan is a 2016 graduate of Pennridge High School and continued her softball career at Eastern University in St. David’s PA. Between a medical hardship year and Covid-19, Meghan is currently in her 6th year with the Eagles. She is a second year captain for the team. Meghan pitched for her first four years of college and moved to the outfield for her final two years. She is a licensed and certified Athletic Trainer and is currently obtaining her master’s degree in Clinical Counseling and Psychology. Meghan hopes to pass her love for the game down to the next generation of dedicated female athletes.

Coach Valentina Marino - PA 14U Co-Head Coach

Coach Valentina Marino is a 2021 graduate of Upper Merion Area High School and continued her career right around the corner at Eastern University. Valentina is currently in her junior year at Eastern. Coach Tina experienced medical hardship in both her Freshman and Sophomore seasons at Eastern University. She hopes to return to the field for her Junior year. She started her coaching career with the 14U PA Cheetahs in 2022 as an assistant coach for Coach Meghan Johnson. Valentina wants to inspire young female athletes to love and enjoy the game of softball just like she does and is excited for this new role as a head coach.

Coach Victoria Galvan - PA 14U Co-Head Coach

Victoria Galvan joins the PA Cheetas with a wealth of coaching experience as well as a stellar playing career at the Division 1 and high school levels.
She is currently the assistant pitching coach at Eastern University.  Under her tutelage in 2023 her staff amassed a team ERA of 3.42 and one of her staff members was an all conference honoree for her work in the circle.  Before Eastern she was the pitching coach at NJCU where she also helped the members of the staff improve in all statistical categories and again, having all conference selections.

As a player, Galvan got her start at the University of South Carolina where she was a reserve pitcher and utility player for the Gamecocks.  She then transferred to University of Maryland where she finished the 2019 season with 3-2 record with 44 innings pitched and six starts.  Unfortunately, due to injury Galvan was no longer able to compete but graduated from University of Maryland with her degree in 2020.

For the last several years she has worked with the NJ Niners travel organization where she was the organizations pitching coach as well as assistant coach for several different age groups.

She is looking forward to bringing her wealth of knowledge and experience to the PA Cheetas.
